Month 1 basis
How do I set an employee to be on a month 1 basis? To make it more dificult they are on a K coding.

Re: Month 1 basis
Treat the K Code the same as a normal Tax Code. Edit the Employee Record Card and in the TAX CODE Field put the K Code followed by "M1" (to indicate Month One). With a space between the code and the M1.
For example: Tax Code: [ K234 M1 ]
I am editing this old message to point out the above advice applies only
to the old ABC5 Payroll.
With ABC6 there is a separate box next to the Tax Code (on Employee Record Card)
so just tick the box for Month 1/Week 1.

Last time I did it, we just added an X to the end of the tax code.
Using ABC for 12 years....... but still know nothing about accounts!! :-)

That's the "old" way of doing it. A year or two back the tax office changed from using "X" to using "W1" or "M1".
ABC Payroll does accept either, but we recommend you only use "M1" or "W1" from now on.
