SpreadSheet changes

Post by abctech »

We have changed the ABC Spreadsheet so it now works the way most people probably expect, with regard to dragging and dropping cells or blocks containing formue. Now, if you move or copy a cell with a formula, the formula will be changed relatively. eg. C5 might become D12

However, sometimes you might want a formula to remain fixed. So C5 remains as C5
In this case you can use C$5. The $ sign tells ABC to leave that reference unchanged when the cell is moved or copied.

Note that any formula you have entered in the past will now be changed automatically to C$5 etc (ie. static references).
So you probably will want to go through the Sheet and remove the $ signs from most of the cell references the first time you use it.
(There is no question about ABC that we can't answer :-)
