IMPORT function

ABC6.36 and above includes an IMPORT function in Filing to allow you to import any CSV file into your ABC database. You can customise the import to suit any file, and save this as a template for use in the future.
The CSV file should have the first line consisting of column headers.
This is a powerful function that can easily and quickly ruin your ABC database (eg. if you post fields to the wrong place or delete the wrong things). Therefore you always start by making a Snapshot or Backup. And particularly with the Accounts database, be very careful.
To get to IMPORT.
Main Menu > FILING > OPEN A FILE > select a File > IMPORT (on ribbonbar)
